The National Center for Climate Change Strategy and International Cooperation (NCSC) is dedicated to research on methane emission control. It provides robust support for China’s scientific decision-making and pragmatic actions in promoting green and low-carbon transition and achieving the dual carbon target.

Notably, NCSC enabled China’s first methane-oriented policy and contributed to 9 relevant policy formulations and 14 standard developments or revisions. Meanwhile, it co-hosted 2 Methane Summits on“Methane and other Non-CO₂ Greenhouse Gases” during the COPs, mobilizing global mitigation, engaging 900+ participants from 50+ countries.
